Export to Delimted Text File Management Agent
Hi, I am trying to export a subset of HR attributes to a CSV file using the "Delimited Text File" management agent. When I try and run a synchronisation I receive the following error: "The DN must be set before calling CSEntry.CommitNewConnector" I do not quite understand as I did not think we needed a DN in this case - could someone please assist? ~FIMDB

Here DN is not the DN of AD ( if you don't have an ADMA configured yet). It is the Anchor attribute which needs to be set. Do you have An ADMA? if yes check if the user is successfully created in AD. Moreover, are you using sync rules or codeless provisioning?HBB

Hi HBB, The only purpose of this MA is to export a subset of data from our HR system into the CSV text file i.e. Employee ID, FirstName and LastName I have set the Anchor to be the EmployeeID as that is the unique identifier. I am using Synchronisation Rules which as I understand is codeless provisioning. ~FIMDB

Hi FIM DB, Sorry for codeless and sync rule thing :). Have to Checked create resource in external system checkbox? I am still waiting for your answer about the record being created successfully in AD(in case you have an AD MA).HBB

Hi HBB, Yes I have checked the tick box to create the resource in External system. In answer to your second question that would be yes; these users are either already synchronised with the AD MA or have been created by the MA previously. Although it has not been part of this process in building/testing the File MA. ~FIMDB

This error is from your provision code or Sync Rule. It is not necessary from the MA that you trying to export to. You're probably missing some initial flow in your Sync Rule. Make sure that you have specified all mandatory attributes in your Sync Rules as initial flows for all Sync Rules that does provisioning / Create Object in Connected System.Regards, Soren Granfeldt blog is at http://blog.goverco.com | twitter at https://twitter.com/#!/MrGranfeldt

Hi Soren, I have configured all attributes to be initial flow - so I am not sure what I am missing. I also tried this: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ilm2/thread/6ac2bed1-9704-4fcc-94d2-3be73c5a7f47 ~FIMDB

I have now been able to successfully export the objects after making the following three changes: - Removing the "ID" attribute mapped to CSObjectID - Reverting anchor back to its original state - Only configuring the anchor as 'initial flow' in the synchronisation rule, all other attributes have been removed from being in the initial flow. This puzzles me as the configuration is as it was when I first started.
