Export print formatting from SSRS to Excel?
Hello, Is there a way to export page settings in my SSRS reports to excel? My customers would like to be able to print my exported report on a 11 x 17 sheet of paper in landscape orientation. They would also like it scaled to fit one page. When I export, my excel file automatically goes back to portrait orientation on a standard sized peice of paper with no scaling. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Rduffy2530, From your description, it seems that you set the size of your report to fit the paper size, and you export it to excel, but there is no scaling happened on the report, right? When we export a report to excel, the Excel rendering extension uses the page height and width settings to determine what paper setting to define in the Excel worksheet. Excel tries to match the Page-Height and Page-Width property settings to one of the most common paper sizes. And orientation is set to Portrait if the page width is less than the page height; otherwise, orientation is set to Landscape. Just as Mike Davis said, Excel is good for manipulating the data after exporting the report. Other format rendering is better for printing. So in your scenario, you can export your report to PDF format, and then print the exported report on an 11 x 17 sheet of paper in landscape orientation.
