Export of rdl report from VSBI to Excel
Excel has a header. How can I export info from the rdl header directly into the excel header. Specifically, besides text, it would be desired to have the excel header reflect the pagination, i.e. page x of y. It is desired to have the page breaks existing in the rdl file to correspond to the page breaks as they are arranged in the rdl file when export occurs to Excel

Unfortunately, the information is not automatically populated in Excel header when exported. If you put in manual page breaks this will force a new tab when exporting to excel also.

Hi mac2nite, Besides what pmp07 mentioned, you could also give every sheet a special name if you are using SSRS2008 R2. In order to name the Sheets appropriately all you have to do is select the Group that has the page breaks from the Row Groups, then in the properties window navigate into the Groups section and find the PageName attribute. By clicking on this attribute you can select the datafield from the dataset used to fill the report. This can be any field or expression that you want to use.
