Hi Lakshmi.
While I am quite apprehensive that the issue could be related to the data types, I can suggest you to design a package instead involving a data flow task with OLEDB source and an excel destination. FYI, the import export wizard at the end generates an SSIS
package. Hope this is useful.
Happy to help! Thanks. Regards and good Wishes, Deepak.

The error is very generic, so when you say your are exporting to excel do you mean csv or .xls/.xlsx formats? xls/xlsx has limitations on the number of rows it can hold so exporting them into a csv is a much better option. csv also helps you avoid data
conversion issues that you might get in xls.
The easiest way to export data from a table into csv is to run the select on the data that you want to export and in the results window "select all" the data and "Save as.." csv file.

Iakshimi,
you must be able to resolve your issue by eliminating column names containing spaces and/or special charactersArthur My Blog
