Export Event in Employee Training Calendar losing hyperlinks
We are using MOSS 2007 with Outlook 2007. Whenever a user uses the "Export Event" action in the Employee Training calendar and there are links or special formatting, this special information is lost when the .ics file is created. Has anyone every had this problem? Other calendars in our site collection do not exhibit this behavior. The .ics file create properly & appear accurate within Outlook.Gina Sweigart

Hi Gina, Do you mean that the links in the calendar lost after exporting event? Or do you mean that you lost the content of the calendar? Are you sure your account has the permission of edit the calendar? Or is there anything wrong with your Exchange server or maybe there is something wrong with the connection between the exchange server and SharePoint server? May be you can also have a try in the code page: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sharepoint/archive/2007/05/14/understanding-the-sharepoint-calendar-and-how-to-export-it-to-ical-format.aspx http://vspug.com/tanujashares/2007/08/07/impersonation-in-sharepoint-2007/ Best Regards! The links are missing in the .ics file that is generated from the Export Event activity. I am a System Admin with Full Control. Our Exchange server has been tested extensively & there is no problem with the communication between Exchange & the SP server. I read these two blogs prior to posting this thread, but I will review them again. I am going to leave this thread open in hopes that someone else has experienced this issue & was able to quickly resolve. Thank you. Gina Sweigart **Further investigation shows it is specifically hyperlinks (font size is maintained) within the Description field that are lost when the Export Event is utilized.
