Execution Log differences in ssrs 2008
I ran the same report with the same parameters in SSRS 2005 and 2008 and got very different executionlog details. In the 2005 environment it was showing the bottleneck to be the 'timedataretreival'. In 2008 the log shows the bottleneck to be 'timeprocessing'. Did microsoft mess up when they coded this or am I missing something. I know for a fact that the bottleneck for this particular report is the datasource, so why does 2008 report that it is the timeprocessing? This makes it difficult to convince the report designers to fix their backend databases. Thanks
