How are you installing the client right now? GPO? Automatic push? If push: just exclude the OU from discovery.

Automatic push, how can I exclude a sub-OU from discovery? Where? thanks

Either add all OUs except the ones you do not want to be discovered or remove read access for the siteserver to the OU(s) that should be excluded.

You can not specify to exclude the Particular OU from AD Discovery method May be you can ,just Create a collection to list all the computers from the Particular OU and use client push installation wizard to intiate SCCM cliet installation ? OR You can exclude machines from client push by adding machines to a certain registry key. But its not OU based, maybe you have allot of machine names coming and going there. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb693996.aspx Or You can Deny acces to the container for the ConfigMgr Site Server (will create errors during discovery) http://wmug.co.uk/blogs/dotraphael/archive/2010/10/17/tip-excluding-ou-from-discovery.aspx //Eswar Koneti @ http://eskonr.wordpress.com/
