Exclude DLL Processes

Hello,

Is it possible to exclude processes that are started with an DLL instead of a executable?

By example can you add %windir%\system32\*****.dll as an excluded service?

Thank you in advance

Exclude them from what? SCEP?

Processes cannot be invoked from a DLL so that doesn't make sense anyway. An exe is always the initiator of a process. A DLL may be used by that exe, but an exe is always used.

Hi,

I assume you mean from Endpoint protection? Excelude Services don't support wildcards, so no it is not possible.

Yes this question is about Endpoint protection.

By example, the Data Deduplication Service is started by svchost.exe, hower i don't want to exclude svchost.exe. Only the Dll that is called by svchost (ddpsvc.dll), judging on your answer this is not possible.
