Exchange 2010 - Add-ADPermission Access Denied Error

Hi,

i've the same problem as explained here :

https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/3d408093-5026-470d-92d5-33575ec365dd/exchange-2010-addadpermission-access-denied-error?forum=exchange2010

But i can't find a solution to resolve this. The domain admin i use to run the commad is member of :

'Exchange Domain Servers'

'Exchange Organization Administrators'

'Exchange Services'

'Organization Management'

'Recipient Management'

I've restart the mailbox server (store.exe), still not working. What have i missed?

Are you sure, that you run the shell "as administrator"?

as i mean: rightclick on the icon -->click "run as"

Also to check, if you see in the title bar when starting: administrator:Exchange Management Shell

I assume you can do other ADD commands?

Yep,

PS window launch as administrator.

Not sure to understand your question, but yes other ADD commands are working.

Hi LBVS,

Thank you for your question.

We could refer to the following steps:

  1.        Click Advanced Features on Viewer in ADUC;
  2.        Navigate Microsoft Exchange Security->Exchange Trust Subsystem->Property->Security->Advanced->Add;
  3.        Add "modify permissions " and "modify owner permissions for Exchange Trusted Subsystem;
  4.        Then we could run the command to check if the issue persist.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Ok finally got it, the previous rights need to be set on the object you want to change.

So if you want to have the capability to set a "send as" permission on all users, you should set the rights on your "Users" Organisational Unit
