Exchange 2010: HTML error code issue when replying via Hotmail configured on Windows Live Client

Hello All,

We are using Exchange Server 2010 SP3 RU9.

Problem: Whenever I reply to any email from Windows Live Email Client (configured with Hotmail account), received from my Exchange domain account then I always get HTML error code at the bottom of the replied email.

Hi Ashish,

Thank you for your question.

By the issue, we suggest you refer to the following steps to troubleshoot and give me feedback:

1. Send new email to Windows Live Email Client to check if there is error code
2. Reply to email then check it web to view if there is error code
3. Reply a new email to other Exchange account(not local domain)check if there is error code
4. Reply to other Windows Live Email client to check if there is error code
5. Re-install Windows Live Email client to check if there is error code

Thanks for your reply.

I have tried the given steps as suggested by you and results are as follows:-

1. I have tried by sending emails from my Exchange account to Windows Live Email Client and didn't found any error code while sending.

2. I have then tried by replying on the mails using the Windows Live Email Client and found the error code, as I already mentioned in my question above. But when I try replying using the web/browser the issue didn't exist.

3. I tried to send the fresh email from Windows Live Email Client  to my exchange account and didn't found any error or issue.

4. I tried replying from my exchange account to other Windows Live Email Client and didn't found any error code.

5. I also tried reinstalling the Windows Live Email Client but the issue still persists while replying from it.

Kindly suggest if there is any resolution for this.

Hi Ashish,

We could login other Windows Live Email Client on other Windows OS using this the issued account to check if the issue persist.

If this issue occur on the specific Windows client, we could refer to the following link to do a clean boot to check if the issue persist:
