Exchange 2007 MP Question
Good morning everyone! I have just gotten through implementing the Exchange 2007 MP following the GUIDE and other bloggers on this issue. The discovery helper showed all servers and the entire mp was imported. I was down to the last step of enabling the EXCHANGE 2007 SERVER ROLES and I did so. Right away errors appeared on all of my exchange servers. An Account specified in the Run As Profile "Microsoft.Exchange2007.OmSp1.Account.ViewOnly" cannot be resolved. This condition may have occurred because the Account is not configured to be distributed to this computer. To resolve this problem, you need to open the Run As Profile specified below, locate the Account entry as specified by its SSID, and either choose to distribute the Account to this computer if appropriate, or change the setting in the Profile so that the target object does not use the specified Account. Note: you may use the command shell to get the Run As Account display name by its SSID. Management Group: xxxxx Run As Profile: Microsoft.Exchange2007.OmSp1.Account.ViewOnly Account SSID: xxxxx NOTE: MY EXCHANGE SERVERS ARE ON A DIFFERENT DOMAIN BUT A FULL TRUST EXISTS. This is how I setup: On the other domain (DOMAIN2), I created two accounts: DOMAIN2\LOCALSERVERACCT (Which I added to local admins group of all the exchange servers) DOMAIN2\EXCHVIEWONLYADMIN (Which I added to the Exchange View-Only Administrators group) I also added the DOMAIN1\SCOM MSAA ACCOUNT to the LOCAL ADMINISTRATORS group on all exchange servers. I setup the EXCHANGE RUN AS ACCOUNTS (Exchange 2007 Local system account and exchange 2007 view only) and added the credentials from the other domain. I would have preferred to have use DOMAIN1 accounts, but I cannot add an account from a different domain to the EXCHANGE VIEW-ONLY ADMINISTRATORS group. Any ideas to help me out? Thanks Kevin

I found what caused this error. I had actually switched the the RUNAS accounts to more secure and had not populated them with the exchange servers yet since the exchange servers were not discovered at that time. Kevin
