Hi,

I just installed Excel Services on my farm, it is working fine except I notice that all Excel files are open using Excel Services even SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features is not currently enable. In theory, I assume without the Enterprise Site Collection features enable, Excel files should not be able to open with Excel Services. Am I correct?

I would like to allow Excel Services to be used by user only on some selected Site Collections, is that possible?

Hi Edwin,

check the default behavior of the document library.  Here is a good TechNet that goes over a couple of methods to change the default behavior for the entire farm:  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee837425.aspx

Set it to open in client for the document libraries you don't want to open in browser.
