Excel Connection Manager: what account is this using? - SSIS 2005
Hello everyone, I'm using an Excel Connection Manager to crreate an XLS file to load with data. On production, this fails, I guess because of a lack of permissions on the production server to be able to create new files. But how can you tell the Connection Manager what account to use? Or what account is it using? So that I know who should be given the necessary permissions to be able to create the XLS file? All help will be greatly appreciated! Tnx in advance! Ting

Ting Hi Ting, use a proxy to run that has the necessary permissions. If you run your package using the Agent then follow http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2163/running-a-ssis-package-from-sql-server-agent-using-a-proxy-account/Arthur My Blog
