Everyone suddenly has access to everything in Sharepoint 2003 and 2007 after server moves
I have a client who is running a Sharepoint 2003 and Sharepoint 2007 instance internally. I was brought in to move both instances onto newer servers. I moved the databases to new servers and the applications to new servers. I followed steps provided by Microsoft while doing this. I ran in to several hiccups along the way but was always able to Google my way through it. Things had been working fine for over a week now, but today I got an email saying that they just noticed that everyone on both the 2003 and 2007 sharepoint sites can access pages that they are not supposed to have permissions to. From the email: "I have triple checked J all of the security groups for all of our sites and everything looks the way it always has and should. I even took every security group and user out of a site and left myself as the only one with access……but [employees] who have never had access to that site could still access it!" I am scheduled to go in to help them with this on Monday, so I haven't taken a look myself, but I'm at a loss as to what could be causing this. Any tips on things I should be checking when I'm there? I'll follow up on Monday when I know more, I just want to arrive with a loaded gun if you know what I mean. thank you for your help.

And he just emailed me back to say that everything seems to be suddenly working again. Any ideas what could have caused this? An active directory issue?
