Hi,

DPM console started restarting for some tames per day. It started after VM moved from one host to another (not cluster)

I resolved problem when found this VM and did CC. 

And this problem happens not first time.

Where I have to look for problem ?

Or maybe its a bug of DPM-VMM Helper Service ?

My configuration:

DPM2012R2 on W2012R2

VMM 2012R2

All Hyper-V servers W2012R2

Have you tried installing the latest patches for your DPM server and the latest UR6 patch ?

Is there anything in your event view logs that relates to a hardware error ?

New surprise:

In DPM application log I found error:

Event ID 943 ...DLS error: Couldn't update results for serverId...

After research in DB and console using serverID I found that I have one VM in good state, but with no recovery point !!!

Last good RP was made before VM was moved.

When I do CC on this VM - DPM console crashes 

Then I removed VM from protection group and added again selecting it from new host.

Now everything OK

Maybe someone have similar environment ?

I need to know is it my problem or DPM - VMM helper problem 

Are you using a console from a management pc or directly from the DPM server ?

As you will also need to update your client consoles also as i've seen this crash the DPM console if it also hasn't been updated

Versions are same 4.2.1312 in DPM server and management server.
