First figure out what fails and where:
use OperationsManager
go
select * from ManagedType
where ManagedTYpeId = ‘youruid‘
Here you can find the TypeName that is discovered. Use the ManagementPackId to get the actual management pack:
Use OperationsManager
Go
Select * from ManagementPack where ManagementPackId = ‘uidfoundwithfirstquery‘Rob Korving

Sorry to ask this Donald, but you did replace the " = ‘youruid‘"part in the query with the id in the error, right? Just to doublecheck.Bob Cornelissen - BICTT (My BICTT Blog) - Microsoft Community Contributor 2011 Recipient

If it is a time-out, SQL just doesn't have the time to finish the queries (default this is 10 minutes). If your datawarehouse is very large or very busy you can try to reduce the amount of data by changing the retention times, see also:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2010/01/05/understanding-and-modifying-data-warehouse-retention-and-grooming.aspx
If you can't you can change the query time-out on the SQL box until it will run the query without a time-out error, but I would try to start with the link above.Regards,
