Event ID:7405 SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT
Hi all, Can any one help me out in fixing the below issue. Installed a fresh SCCM 2007 R2 server with SQL 2005 SP2 and added 2 site system roles (ConfigMgr Reporting Point ans ConfigMgr Reporting services point). I could able to take reports but in the eventviewer the below error triggers. So to resolve it i tried to configure the properties of ConfigMgr Reporting Services point but failing when i'm setting the Data Source settings [Server name and Databse Name]. when i'm giving the Databse name as "ReportServer" it is throwing an error stating that Databse is not a configmgr databse. Appreciate any inputs on the below.Error:component SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT on computer TestComp reported: SRS root folder "ConfigMgr_IN1" is not present or not properly configured SRS Reporting point server "TestComp". Login name: ApplicationEvent ID:7405Source: SMS Servertask Category: SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT Thanks to all in Advance.Hari Bylapudi

Hi,You need to configure the properties before the SRS will work with Configuration Manager. SCCM Database is not "ReportServer" but the database name (by defaut SMS_<CODESITE>) you set during installation of SCCM How to Configure Properties for the Reporting Services Point : http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc512026.aspx Thank's. Hi Bechir,I have followed ur proposed article and checked all the settings but still we are facing the same error and we are unable to take any reports. After doing a thorough ground analysis of troubleshooting we found that the feature ASP is not installed on the Report server, which is causing this issue. So we have installed the feature ASP on the SCCM 2007R2 report server and restarted the server, once done all started working.Hari Bylapudi

I'm having same error code and ASP component is installed. Weird, that I cannot configure the database connection, see this: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs774.ash1/166469_488040830403_145461595403_6439232_1671877_n.jpg

Hi, I have a Windows 2003 SCCM R2 SP2 server with external database Server SQL 2005 SP2, I have Reporting Services install on the SCCM server and the 'ConfigMgr Reporting Services points points to Site Code Report folder, although the properties under \Computer Managerment\Reporting\Reporting Services SCCM Server Hots is greyed out. Reporting Folder: unavailable, Status: unavailable, Size: unavailable & Contains too. Also Date Source Setting, Data Source Authenication, Data Source Security & Security is greyed out too. 'Unable to connect to the report server to retrieve security info for the object, Verify the report server is available and configured correctly.' Have I over looked something. Also SCCM event App log mentions Event Type: Error Event Source: SMS Server Event Category: SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT Event ID: 7404 Date: 30/03/2011 Time: 14:08:04 User: N/A Computer: SCCM SERVER Description: On 03/30/11 14:08:04, component SMS_SRS_REPORTING_POINT on computer SCCM Server reported: SRS is not installed or properly configured on SRS Reporting point server "SCCM SERVER ". Grateful for your comments, Thanks Rich
