Event 7000, Event 7011, & Event 7046 Logged

I have a secondary Windows 2012 R2 DC that has been giving some issues recently. The server will appear to lockup, but still function. By lockup I mean the up-time counter quits counting up, although the windows server time is incremented. The CPU and Memory utilization will say zero in task manager, and the bandwidth monitor will disappear. Another odd thing we have noticed is that VSS will timeout on our backups. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated?

Below is what I pulled from the event logs:

Error    8/18/2015 6:49:32 AM    Service Control Manager    7000    None    "The Remote Registry service failed to start due to the following error:

Hi,

Thanks for the post. According to the error log you provided above, the issue could be related to a register key within the registry. There's a KB for this kind of issue released for the windows server 2008/ 2008R2, you could have a check to see if it works on your system.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/922918

Warning: Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.

And also suggest op to backup  the registry before edit.

Best Regards,

Elaine
