EventID 8dzz System.Web.HttpException File does not Exist thrown when opening Site Settings page
Server 20032 servers in farmWSS 3.0 SP2I have a recent issue when attempting to open the Site Settings page on any site within the farm (including the Administration site). When clicking the Site Settings link, the user gets the standard "Unknown Error - Troubleshoot issue with Windows SharePoint Services" message.Using diagnostic logging, I receive the following: 02/02/2010 15:17:36.76 w3wp.exe (0x0DF0) 0x01E8 Windows SharePoint Services General 8dzz High Exception Type: System.Web.HttpException Exception Message: The file '/_layouts/_controltemplates/TopNavBar.ascx' does not exist. This same error is thrown, no matter from which site I try to access the Site Settings. I have verified that the specifid file does indeed exist on both servers in the farm at \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\TEMPLATE\CONTROLTEMPLATES Am I checking the right place? Additionally, any ideas what I can do to get my site(s) back?Looking back at the previous few diagnostic logs, I'm also seeing other "file not found errors" such as 02/02/2010 14:40:28.83 w3wp.exe (0x0EC8) 0x0F74 Windows SharePoint Services General 72kg High #20015: Cannot open "proj.en-US.resx": no such file or folder. 02/02/2010 14:40:28.83 w3wp.exe (0x0EC8) 0x0F74 Windows SharePoint Services General 72kg High (#2: Cannot open "proj.en-US.resx": no such file or folder.) Any thoughts? Thanks in advance...

I re-ran the Sharepoint Configuration wizard on both servers, restarted, and the sites appear to function correctly now.Guess we'll see if it happens again once people start editing.
