When we restart our BDC, we receive errors indicating SharePoint cannot connect to the SQL Server which is not located on the BDC. The errors are: 1. The following information is part of the event:'#50071: Unable to connect to the database WSS_Content_Intranet on blah. Check the database connection information and make sure that the database server is running.' 2. Unable to connect to database. Check database connection information and make sure the database server is running. Is this a known issue? Any remedy?

Hi, No we have a BDC which is why this seems odd. Regardless, normal user sessions are not impacted during the restart since the BDC is in place. Thanks, Morgan

Actually, it turns out, it was our BDC that was restarted, not the PDC, which makes it even more strange.
