Error with WDS Server / PXE Since installation of SP2 for SCCM
Hi All, I am having a few issues with SCCM since the installation of SP2. A wierd one I keep seeing is after I do a "Import Computer Information" in OSD to import a new machine into SCCM. I goto image the machine and it wont pull down the Boot image. When I take a look at the event log of the SCCM server I get the following errors Type: ErrorSource: BINLSVCCategory: BINLSVCEventID: 513 An error occurred while trying to read the configuration information for the Active Directory Connection Manager. The most common causes for this are a failure reading registry settings or a failure contacting a Domain Controller. The Windows Deployment Services server will not process incoming client requests. Error Information: 0x3A Type: ErrorSource: BINLSVCCategory: BINLSVCEventID: 770 An error occurred while updating the Auto Add Policy settings. The Windows Deployment Services server will not process incoming client requests.Error Information: 0x3A Type: ErrorSource: WDSIMGSRVCategory: WdsImgSrvEventID: 266 An error occurred while refreshing settings.Error Information: 0x3A The only fix i've been able to use is to restart the WDS service which will let me then pull down the image. Is there anything I need to do once SP2 has been installed like refresh accounts etc as I am seeing quite a bit of wierd things since the installation of SP2. Thanks in advance, Paul

Hi Paul, See solution in this KB article: 960489 The Windows Deployment Services (WDS) server in Windows Server 2008 stops working after the authenticating domain controller becomes unavailable if it cannot locate another available domain controller http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;960489

Hi Eric,We are using Windows Server 2003 for our Domain Controllers and also our SCCM server. Is it still the same solution?Regards,Paul
