I am using sharePoint 2010 with 2.0 .Net framework.

Everything works cool.

I found one issue in accessing the manage user properties in Manage Profile services. Sync between AD and sharepoint works fine. Pictures across AD, Lync and SharePoint I could use the same pictures.

I need to access this as I have to update/add few custom fields as Wedding anniversary in SharePoint 2010. I will sync this field with AD.

While checking various websites/blog - I found this link.

can I update and upgrade the framework to 3.5?

will this have any impact on the present applications/sharepoint site.

Hi Sathya,

.NET Framework 3.5 is one of the prerequisites when installing SharePoint 2010, thus, it is probably that the version of your .NET Framework is 3.5:

You can check the .NET Framework of your server in the registry as the link shown below:
