Error when using STSADM to Restore a site
Hello All,I am running the following stsadm command to restore a site backup file toour development site -stsadm -o restore -url http://sitename -filename D:\ContentBackup\backup.dat overwriteThe command runs without any errors, yet when I browse to the restored site, the following error appears:There are no more files. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070012)This error only appears on the main site URL. If I browse to any subsites or pages within the site collection, I can get to them, but any site templates/style sheets are not applied. Can anyone offer any clues as to why this is happening and what needs to be done in order to fix this issue? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

The new site have the some template as the old site? This is the most common explanation when you are trying to restore something...

What I did was I ran a backup of our production site, and restored that backup.dat file to our development site. I checked the template and css settings on the development site after the restore and they match the settings that are on our production site, yet the main site page still spits back that error, and all of the other subsites and pages are not pulling from those templates.

Hello, A possible cause for your issue is the restore process did not complete successfully. So please try the following method: 1. Directly restored the backup content database in SQL Server. 2. Created a new web application in SharePoint and detached the content database using the stsadm -o deltecontentd command. 3. Attached the content database from the backup to the new web application. Try again after above steps. If the problem still exist, please feel free to let me know. Regards, JerryXing-Bing Yu

Hello All Last week I got the same Error while restoren a Sitebackup (via stsadm) on my Developmentserver. A whole Subsite was inkonsistent und produced Errors like "There is no file with URL...". After lots of investigation I found the error in the Relationshipslinklist due to lots of Misconfiguration in the GroupID-Column. After I corrected these I could restore a fresh backup without any problems! Hope it helps (well the thread maybe outdated but could help others as well) Greetings Michael http://sharepoint.swissblog.ch

I found it on the site collection level with SP Manager 2010 tool. There is only 1 record in the list: What should I do now?
