 Getting below error when creating a New collection.

Kindly help.

You're not able to create new collections? Have you done the basic steps like restarting the console and reviewing  Smsprov.log file? 

I've seen some KB for SMS, not sure this is applicable to you in Configmgr http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829838

Hi,

Did you take any actions before the issue occurs?

This issue should be caused by failing to insert the collection details in DB.

You may check the SMSPROV.log file as Anoop suggested.

Hi Anoop\Sabrina Thanks for the reply..

I have done the Restart the console, log out and log back in,

But strange thing there was no error in logs,we had the same issue previously and increased the tempdb  size from 10MB to 100MB the issue was fixed



Below is the error which we are getting now with error "Form that is already visible cannot be displayed as a modal dialog box"

Kindly share some info..

Hi Bindu Madhava,

   I have checked with the SQL Team and  DDL Auditing is not the issue and its not turned on,

I have tried few steps in the above link 

last collection value of CollectionsID in collections table is 101, and the value of NextCollectionID in nextids table is 102.

  Select * From Collections 

  Select * from Nextids

But still getting the error in smsprov.log file

"e:\nts_sms_fre\sms\siteserver\sdk_provider\smsprov\sspcollection.cpp(766) : Unable to update parent collection due to SQL error."

Kindly share some info

I'm seeing the same issue and have opened a ticket with Premier Services. If whomever marked this as answered could provide the fix or a reference ticket it would be much appreciated. We've had a ticket open for a few weeks and made no headway.
