Error when export from one Excel to other.
What is the read only property for the excel, from the errors it looks like the destination excel is opened in the read only modeAbhinav

Thanks for the reply abhinav. I am sorry I missed an important note: There are numerous work sheets available in the destination excel and the package was able to write into many of the excel work sheets but one of them failed with this error and it is persistent very strong and uanble to be eradicated. Good day Folks, I have been facing this strange error in excel export from one excel to other. There is some data already residing in the destination excel with a defined format and I perform some lookup with the destination sheet and upsert the data. This is the error : "Error: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E21. An OLE DB record is available. Source: "Microsoft Access Database Engine" Hresult: 0x80040E21 Description: "Cannot update '(expression)'; field not updateable.". " Familiar? Appreciate if anyone can help me. I am really not sure how this was solved but I recreated the excel work sheet again and it was successful. But would like to know any inputs on the reason for the error?Happy to help! Thanks. Regards and good Wishes, Deepak.

Hi Deepak_MSBI, Please refer to the following KB, You cannot change, add, or delete data in tables that are linked to an Excel workbook in Office Access 2007, Office Access 2003, or Access 2002 Hope it helps. Thanks, Eileen
