Hi, I have an SSRS report which i don't know on which version it was developed. I am trying to open it with Visual Studio 2005 but i get the error "The Report element was not found." Is it related to versions upgrade? In that case how can i open the report on VS2005. If not what could be the reason? Thanks in advance

Hi ms_crm, You can open its xml code by right-clicking it and choose Open with some program, then in the xml, there are xml scheme section like this: <Report xmlns:rd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SQLServer/reporting/reportdesigner" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2008/01/reportdefinition"> so, we could get it is SSRS 2008 or SSRS 2008 R2. Based on the error message, it is not SSRS 2005 or SSRS 2000, instead, it is SSRS 2008 or SSRS 2008 R2. thanks, Jerry
