Error in reporting services
I have other reports working fine great with no problem. The same report works in My machine but when i deploy it i get the error . I tried in both 2008 and 2008 R2. Local Machine does not have any issues. It is reporting Server where i am having problem
with.
An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset 'Platform'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors

Hi ns100,
The message you are getting is a generic message. To see the actual reason of the error you will have to enable remote errors on the ssrs server.

However, since you say that it's working fine on your local machine, i'm guessing it's to do with the permissions. Make sure the account under which report server is running has permissions to execute the data set.

The permissions are ok.. I have another 16 report working in reporting server. It is just this particular report.

Maybe a problem in the execution of the SQL itself ? Check that the SQL is returning records that are expected and you don't have any other statements accidentally in the same batch. A common error is to have th grant permsision statement inside
the SQL for stored procedures by mistake (if you are using stored procs).

Hi
Could you exexcute the "Platform" Dataset on the target server for testing, my guess is the target server database is missing required datasets/columns for this "Platforms" query.
Let me know the results, also interested to see the error message after enabling the remote errors on reporting instance.Prav

Hi ns100,
Did you have stored procedure in the dataset? If so, make sure that you have a public permission on this procedure. Details here:
