Error in links in the e-mail alert.
Hello,
We have created a Collaboration Portal with Moss 2007.
When we installed the site, the name was the same as the server "servername".
Then we added a new URL "www.ourdomain.com", with SSL.
Now, when we get alerts from announcements, the links in the email does not point to www.ourdomain.com but to http://servername....
Any idea how to fix this? This means that no external users can aksess the site.
Regards
Tim

Hi,
This is a very late reply but when you use the search you can still find this thread without solution so I will give the solution here.
I had the same problem but you need to remove the alert and recreate it making sure you are using the correct URL 'www.ourdomain.com'.
When you navigate to http://servername and create an alert, you will receive the alerts with the link to http://servername, but when you navigate to www.ourdomain.com and create an alert, he will use that URL in the alert emails.

You will need to use the command "stsadm -o updatealert" to resolve this issue. You will need to install the SharePoint Administration Toolkit to get the command to be available.
You can find more out about the command here:
