Hi all, Not sure if I'm at the right place to pose this question. I'm trying to extend a web application but I encountered the following error: An update conflict has occurred, and you must re-try this action. The object SPAlternateUrlCollection Name=SharePoint - default Parent=SPFarm Name=SharePoint_Config is being updated by DomainName\UserName, in the w3wp process, on machine MachineName. View the tracing log for more information about the conflict. I've chosen port 80, specified host header, allowed anonymous and selected Extranet as the zone. Tried to search for solutions in the Net, did an IISRESET, restarted Windows SharePoint Services Timer but to no avail, so hopefully someone can help to explain why is this happening? Thanks a mil in advance! :)

Hi, Yes you are right. I tried on 3 different existing web applications and all 3 gave me the same error. :(
