Error editing documents with Office 2010
Hello All,
I've encountered an issuew when Editing document on SharePoint 2007 with Office 2010. The error I am receiving is "The file or folder name
http path contains characters that are not permitted. Enter a different name."
The steps to reproduce the issue are as follows:
Browse to a document library Open a document as read-only Click the "Edit Workbook" link in Excel 2010 Error message pops up
I have found a few references to modifying the proxy settings in IE. I've tried setting the proxy to 127.0.0.1 and excluding *.* but this didn't resolve the issue. I also tried turning off the automatcially detect proxy setting but this also
didn't work.
here is a link to the error message:

Can you try removing the space for the file Taylor Master Queue.xslx and insteadn save it as TaylorMsaterQueue.xlsx?

Try this.
Open up Internet Explorer Click Tools –> Internet Options Click the Connections tab Click LAN settings Check “Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections).”
Enter 127.0.0.1 for the address Click Advanced In the Exceptions type: *.* Click OK, OK and OK
