Error during Report Execution
Hello!
I created a report for TFS2010 using Report Builder 2 and it is running against the Reporting Services of a SQL Server 2008 installation. When I use the report in my small VM deployment, everything works fine. It draws a burn up chart on one single page
(no multiple pages).
If I deploy it to a large environment (multiple servers) from time to time it may happens, that the following error message occurs:
Error during Clientrendering.
Error during Report Processing.
An error occurred within the report server database. This may be due to a connection failure, timeout or low disk condition within the database.
To get further error informations, navigate to the report server on your local server computer or activate remote errors.
I talked to the admin of the big environment and he told me, that it was a blocking lock in the ReportServer DB. He had to quit that blocking process to get it working again. How can this happen? What should I do?
Thanks.
Greetings

Hi,
The error message is very general. You need to look into the report server logs to see its detailed log about this issue. The log is stored at C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10.SQLSERVER\Reporting Services\LogFiles within default installation.
Additionally, check
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sqlreportingservices/thread/16ab74d1-c68b-477e-8675-4cf165d78df2/ with the same error message. In the link, suggest to assign the Services Account full permissions to do the upgrade. Then, please use
the Reporting Services Configuration Manager to re-configure the database again, and restore the encryption key.
thanks,
Jerry
