Error Message, Incorrect syntax near 'TABLESAMPLE' while attempting to create report model
While attempting to create a report model using the wizard in Business Intelligence Studio 2008, with a SQL Server 2005 datasource, i get the following error, Incorrect syntax near 'TABLESAMPLE' while attempting to create report model. You may need
to set the compatibility level of the current database to a higher value to enable this feature. See help for the stored procedure sp_dbcmptlevel.
Does this mean I need to set the compatibiltiy level of the dbase to 90? If so, how will this affect the database in general?
Thanks!

Yes, this is what this message means. In my personal experience, it's better to have compatibility level matching the SQL Server version. For every expert, there is an equal and opposite expert. - Becker's Law
