Hi, Can you be a little more specific. Where do you see the error, and do you have certain features that are not working due to the error?Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi, Do you have mobile devices that you need to support? If not then you can disable the Mobile device Management Point. That's the setting causing the error. Open the MP properties and remove the checkmark in Allow devices to use this Management Point. It's not a needed configuration unless your are supporting Mobile devices.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products

Hi, Removed the checkmark in Allow devices to use this Management Point. Now the error 5480 is not coming but error error 5436 is still there. Error Description: Possible cause: Management point encountered an error when connecting to SQL Server. Solution: Verify that the SQL server is properly configured to allow Management Point access. Verify that management point computer account or the Management Point Database Connection Account is a member of SMS Management Point Role (msdbrole_MP) in the SQL Server database. Possible cause: The SQL Server Service Principal Names (SPNs) are not registered correctly in Active Directory Solution: Ensure SQL server SPNs are correctly registered. Review Q829868. Possible cause: Internet Information Services (IIS) isn't configured to listen on the ports over which SMS is configured to communicate. Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is configured to use the same ports which SMS is configured to use. Possible cause: The designated Web Site is disabled in IIS. Solution: Verify that the designated Web Site is enabled, and functioning properly. Possible cause: The SMS ISAPI Application Identity does not have the requisite logon privileges. Solution: Verify that the account that the SMS ISAPI is configured to run under has not been denied batch logon rights through group policy. For more information, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 838891. Regards, Joy. MP Control Manager detected management point is not responding to HTTP requests. The HTTP status code and text is 401, Unauthorized.

Hi, It seems my MP is not responding properly now, because when I am running- http://SERVERNAME/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mplist it is showing the MP list. But when I am running - http://SERVERNAME/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert it is not giving the expacted result, something wrong with MP. I will share my observation shortly. Regards, Joy.

Hi, HTTP 401 error represent there is a security configuration issue of IIS component on SCCM site server 1. check the membership of the domain based group IIS_WPG which should include IWAN_DCname account. 2. check security directory of the default website, it should have anonymous access enabled: In IIS manager > Default Web Site properties > Authentication and access control > Edit button > The checkbox for Enable anonymous access was unchecked Checked the box Stopped and restarted the IISPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, Now I am able to access http://SERVERNAME/sms_mp/.sms_aut?mpcert and it seems MP is working properly but error 5436 is still there. I checked IIS manager > Default Web Site properties > Authentication and access control > Edit button > anonymous access is Enable. checked the membership of the domain based group IIS_WPG which is showing the member as IWAN_Member account. But no progress on this error. Regards, Joy.

HI, Download and install Configuration Manager 2007 Toolkit V2. Run the MP troubleshooter and see if that can fix the problem for you.Kent Agerlund | http://scug.dk/members/Agerlund/default.aspx | The Danish community for System Center products
