Hi I have MOSS2007. I would like to install my project portal but it will give error 404 file not found and also it will not load my portal DLL into GAC pls let me know whats problem gng on ?

Thanx Cornelius for ur feedback We have a MOSS-2007 Installed on my machine. now want to install my project setup(project sharepoint portal setup). when these project setup install. there should be install web application on sharepoint. In IIS manager, I am able see the sharepoint site that is created during these project setup. but i am unable to see portal DLL in GAC and also these feature has not deployed in solution managment. only icon is created in desktop when i click this its shows error 404 file not found This setup is working fine on all my collegue machine and even this was working well on my machine with another credential. my and his creadential are same(administrator). I am not getting whts problem going on. pls help me.

so its feature which you deployed, did you see any error in event log or ULS log. from your statement its looks like a permision issue.make sure you have the right permision. thanks -wsi am at SharePoint administrator

ya I have all administrative permission and i also i saw event log in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\LOGS There is no error.
