Error 0x800703e3 on IIS7/MOSS 2007/Windows Server 2008
We currently have an IIS7 web app (Sharepoint 2007 site) with Windows Authentication/Active Directory client certificate mapping enabled. If we configure our SSL to require client certificates, we find the error 0x800703e3 in our failed request trace logs. Using WFetch shows that the server won't even respond. If you attempt to access the URL with a web browser, IE displays the "Page cannot be loaded" error, while Firefox displays a "Connection to the server has been reset" error. We've kept the server software up to date, and have looked around the web for a potential solution to this problem. We did find a similar post for this issue here, but it doesn't appear to have a resolution for our issue. Any ideas on further troubleshooting strategies or solutions? This ONLY occurs when we have SSL client authentication set to required. Having it set to Accept or Ignore is not an option for us. Thanks!

Hi Thomas, The issue seems to not be relevant with MOSS 2007, I found 2 articles involving this error code, you can check. http://www.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Windows_Networking/Internet_Protocols/Q_27076223.html(comments (comments bottom) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/961804#phrss Thanks Regards, Daniel
