Error: Setup cannot locate Install.map.
I was trying to practice sending a package so I decided that I would send the SCCM console to a collection that has other administrator's workstations. Does anyone know what this "Setup cannot locate Install.map." error means when they go to run the Advertisementand how can I fixit?Gerard Aguilar

I've seen the same thing and was able to resolve it by using a server OS instead of Win7. Maybe this will work for you as well.

I was having the same problem and in my case I had downloaded this executable (ConfigMgr07SP2Upgrade_RTM_ENU.exe) and extracted it with 7zip, which caused the "install.map" error. I saw the same thing unzipping it in Windows Explorer. When I used the self-extractor
of the executable it extracted properly and this error went away. I was able to install SP2 successfully.
