Enable Provisioning Synchronization Rule require MA Full Sync
Hello, I was wondering if there is a large negative impact on running full sync on FIM MA only (after enabling provisioning), and disregard full sync on all other MAs - this is for a QA envrionment. Two reasons for this attempt is that I am seeing other MA full sync (such as AD MA Full Sync) is creating Provisioning Disconnects and Provisioning Adds and both look entries look a like. The second reason is the time it is taking to run Full Sync on AD MA with 150,000 objects, which is taking considerably a long time since FIM MA Full sync was completed and now it's deleting what was created by FIM MA and creating a new entry for its own provisioning. Appreciate your input.

When you see the same provisioning disconnects and provisioning adds you probably did not export the connector space, that is why the sync engine removes the un exported cs object and creates a new one. When you export your connector spaces running a full sync will not recreate every object.Need realtime FIM synchronization? check out the new http://www.traxionsolutions.com/imsequencer that supports FIM 2010 and Omada Identity Manager real time synchronization!

Hi Paul, Do you mean by exporting the Connector Space as in exporting to all applicable target systems after the initial Full Sync was completed (which was FIM MA Full Sync)? I have 8 MAs in total, 2 ADs, 1 FIM MA, and 4 Extensible MAs. I had executed FIM MA full sync, then moved on (through a PowerShell script) running a full sync on all other MAs. Realized the deletion and re-creation, so I ended up just executing exports to all applicable MAs. Thank you.

Yes you run the "Export profile" for each management agent to export the connector space.Need realtime FIM synchronization? check out the new http://www.traxionsolutions.com/imsequencer that supports FIM 2010 and Omada Identity Manager real time synchronization!

Thank you Paul. This is what I ended up doing after FIM MA Full Sync. I thought that we could run full sync on all MAs sequentially without exporting, until the full syncs are completed.
