EmployeeID is a Number in SQL
Our HR system stores the EmployeeID as a number but FIM stores it as a string. Can I cast the employeeID as a string in FIM or do I need to do that in a SQL view?

You can do this in your attribute flow in the sync engine to bring it to a string value in the metaverse. -Jeremy

So when you build the SQLMA you chose advanced. But then what do I do?

Wait... I have to compile a DLL to handle the conversion? Our Rep said you didn't have to anymore...

I believe you could also create a synchronization rule in the FIM portal to do this if you do not want to write 1 line of .Net code. -Jeremy

Jeremy, Thanks for the replys. It is safe to say I am a noob with FIM and ILM in general. Are there any websites that show examples on building custom extensions? Nick
