My company previous colleague created alerts for sites, when new user is added to site . the alert will send to two people one is SharePoint Admin and another is "Business" people. Now Business dont want to receive this email. I dont know where do I need to change this? Anybody have idea to change this?Jamsbond

That means, When you are adding user to group "abc". Only emails are going to SharePointadmin@xxx.com and service@xxx.com. How these emails are going and where they configured. I just want remove service@xxx.com email id. Email alert like this: "A new user had been added to Digital Energy group of the Communities, the user's name is Jennifer. The Member # of the user is 3360284" Jamsbond

Hi, As I have said, please check the workflows attached with user information list (go to site actions > site settings > people and group > any group > settings > list settings > workflow settings) to see if there is a relevant workflow and delete it if yes. Hope it is helpful!Seven

Hi, How do you make sure this email is from alert function? Which version is your sharepoint? For wss 3.0 and moss 2007, there is no alert function for groups. so i guess it is from workflow. and as i know, if your sharepoint version is wss 3.0 or moss 2007, i think you should be able to find the list settings for your groups(actually user information list) through site actions > site settings > people and groups > settings in the list bar > list settings > workflow settings.
