Email Alerts not working
Hi All, I am facing a very strange issue. I have two web application in my farm. In one web aplication email notification is working fine, but there is problem in the second one. I am able to get emails from workflow, email when user is added, email when alert is configured in doc lib/list but when i make any changes to the doc lib by adding or deleting a doc i am not getting any alerts. In the timer job status in central admin i can see Immediate alerts as successful in both WFE. I have check the database tables too and the url there in the SiteUrl column i am geting the correct web application url. I have checked the setproperty option and even thats fine. I also used the updatealertstemplate command pointing it to the default alerttemplate.xml file. Still i am not getting the alerts for document library. In one web application its working compeltely fine its only in the second web application that i am facing this issue. Can anyone help, please Thanks Nez Can anyone please help

how is the smtp configured? do u have a different SMTP server all together? or its configured on the web servers itself? Hows the web farm set up? try checking the stmp folder mailroot on the web servers to see if the mails are getting queued up in bad mail folder?
