Editing the content DB directly for orphaned list
Hi
I have an orphaned list in MOSS 2007, I have tried the stsadm -deletecorruption which hasn't removed it.
I can see it in the SQL table 'dbo.AllLists', my question is, it is safe to remove it directly from the table?
ThanksMCTS

If you make any change to that table directly within SQL you will end up invalidating your support/license agreements for SharePoint.
It might be worth seeing if this tool is of any use for you

Rob, can you either update your main post or add another one detailing what you've tried excatly. I dont mind spending some time later on to help, but I'm sure thread contributors don't want to throw suggestions at you that you may have already tried.Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/

Ok,
Here is want I have tried so far:
Used SDP to remove the site, but link still remained. SPListinstancefix - doesn't show it stsadm -deletecorruption
The URL for a valid list looks like this:
https://site.blah.co.uk/sites/dms/Lists/ASP%20Clients/AllItems.aspx
The link for this problem list is this:
https://site.blah.co.uk/sites/dms/_layouts/ListEdit.aspx?List={966B8F82-426B-4ECF-83DE-E260AE8A4592}
Is the differeing URL a clue to the problem?
Thanks

Hi,
You can follow the STSADM command to delete your orphan site.
You can follow this link:

I hope this will help you out.
