Editing a SharePoint List using the edit in Datasheet returns a message
I'm getting this message when trying to enter edit in datasheet. I'm not sure where to enable the datasheet component and I know my web browser have active X controls enabled. The list cannont be displayed in DataSheet view for one or more of the following reasons: - A datasheet component compatible with Windows SharePoint Services is not installed. - Your Web Browser does not support Active X Controls - Support for Active X controls is disabled. Please let me know more about how I can get this list to work. The weird thing is other lists on this site enter datasheet view just fine.

Hi, This error message occurs if you do not have Office installed. The Active X error occurs if your IE security settings are set to be to strict.Regards, Savoeurn Va Microsoft Online Community Support

I have Office 2010 installed. I'm running IE 8 and look like I have all the active x items enabled. Are there any specific items I need to disable or enable within IE? All my active X controls within IE look like they aren't restrictive. What next?
