Anyone know of a fix for this?

Hi Nick,
According to your description, my understanding is that the Title became blank after you edited the excel file with Office Web app.
Whether this issue occurred when you edited the files of other types, like word or ppt.
Please install SharePoint 2013 SP1, compare the result.

I hope this helps.
Thanks,

This does not occur with Word nor PowerPoint.
As noted in my original post, we tested this on an environment with SP1 and the issue remains.
Thanks.
I just tested this out in one of my Office 365 site collections and it's happening there too. Looks like a bug.
Steps to reproduce:
- Upload an Excel document to a Document Library. Make sure you provide a title for the document.
- Click on the document name to open in browser.
- Drop down the EDIT WORKBOOK menu and select Edit in Excel Online.
- Make some changes in the document and go back to the document library. You will find that the document title's gone blank.
This is still an issue for us, has anyone else found a solution?
Thanks.

Currently we have lodged a Microsoft Support Case and they are working with the related team to go further and resolve this issue.

We are using Office365 SharePoint Online and this issue has been fixed now.
