Edit In Report Builder Fails
Hey guys,
I am able to get into the Reporting Services when I go to http://servername.domain/reports
But when I click a report and try clicking "Edit in Report Builder" I get the standard IE "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" page. Any ideas how I can troubleshoot this? Or why is this happening?

Hi Uchelp,
Access to Report Builder depends on the following factors:
Server properties that determine whether Report Builder is available on the report server.
Role assignments or permissions that make Report Builder available to individual users or groups.
Authentication settings that determine whether user credentials can be passed through to the report server or anonymous access is configured on application files.
For more information about the Report Builder Access, please see:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms365173(v=sql.100).aspx
Whats more, if you want to edit reports in Report Builder, you can use the stand-alone version of Report Builder, and configure the Report Builder to connect to a report server by providing the URL to the target report server. The stand-alone version of
Report Builder is not installed with Reporting Services. You can download and install it separately from the
Microsoft Download Center.

Thanks for the reply Fanny,
When I try to connect to the report server with the standalone version of Report Builder, I get this error: "Connection failed. Unable to connect to the server that is specified in the URL..etc."
But I am able to connect to the report server when I use a browser and do everything but edit reports in Report Builder. So how is it a connection issue?

Solved this myself.
It was a Microsoft issue. If you're using Windows 7 & IE9 like me, you must render the site in IE8 mode (F12 Developer Tools). After doing so, you can "Edit In Report Builder" and it will work.
