Hi,

I have created an external mail contact in my Exchange 2010.

For example, the external mail contact email id is: tomjo@gmail.com with a display name 'Tom Joseph Gmail'

But when my users see it in the local GAL they view it as 867afd3d5325449d875c8e905c50bb33@localdomain.com

Kindly suggest why it shows the external email address in junk characters.. 

(display name is showing correctly)

A contact will be assigned two addresses, one internal and one external.  Mail sent to the internal address will be directed to the external address.  I'm guessing that you're seeing the internal address.  We'd know more information if you'd enter this command and post the results.

Get-MailContact -Identity 'Tom Joseph Gmail' | FL EmailAddresses

How do I make the second one '867afd3d5325449d875c8e905c50bb33@localdomain.com'  to tomjo@gmail.com so that end-users can make-out easily in Outlook/OWA
