EMET 4 Support for Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 8.1

Does EMET 4 support IE 11 on Windows 8.1? IE that runs as an app fails to start every time. IE that runs in desktop mode works correctly.

I am using Windows 8.1 RTM.

Tested again with EMET 4.1 and without IE AddOns?

There are compatibility issues with modern apps:

From the manual
--
"NOTE: EMETs reporting features are only available on Desktop applications. Modern applications cannot leverage this feature."
--
"EMET can be installed and used in virtual machines, however virtualized applications such as Microsoft App-V or VMware ThinApp are not supported."
--
"Table 6: application compatibility for Certificate Trust" EMET is not compatible with Modern Internet Explorer.
