I have set up a Control Flow task to send an an email. I have set all the parameters corectly and get the followiing error message: [Send Mail Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: authentication required - Your email could not be sent. To fix this you must make a simple change to your email (known as SMTP authentication). For advice visit www.btyahoo.com/smtp ". The web link says to switch SMTP authentication on in the email package. I have checked Database Mail and the feature is switched on and appears to be working as it sends emails when T-SQL scripts (not SSIS) run on the database. How can diagnose and fix this problem? PG The standard SMTP connection doesn't allow specification of credentials. You have to implement a script. Check the script here for reference.SSIS Tasks Components Scripts Services | http://www.cozyroc.com/
