Dynamic Group Population doesn't work
Good Day! I try to create groups in custom MP for monitored servers. For testing I used the MP in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/steverac/archive/2009/01/12/discovering-ad-security-groups-in-opsmgr-2007.aspx. I create a test group in Active directory, add some members to it and export MP to SCOM RMS. The group is created but there is nothing in managed objects. Does anybody know how to find why the group doesn't populate? Where can I find the logging information about group populating? I plan to migrate the MP to production environment with more compex rules but at the moment even the simple rule don't work.

If a group is empty and you have discovered inventory (instances) of you target for this group,, you know your formula is wrong. To troubleshoot this, we need to see what you are trying to do, so if you could create your group (or discovery and group) into a separate MP and then post so we can have a look. Then we'll be better able to help out. Pete Zerger, MVP-OpsMgr and SCE | http://www.systemcentercentral.com
