Hi,

We've a form library where our InfoPath form got published. Everything is fine but sometimes it creates duplicate entries of the same form. "Request ID" is InfoPath field and "Name" is form library field. We are generating "Request ID" using InfoPath. "Name" is copied with the same value of "Request ID" for that particular entry. While getting duplicated, the first entry is having proper value for "Request ID" but for "Name" it shows 'Form1'. The other entry is having same values for "Request ID" and "Name" which is correct but the former one is incorrect.

It is duplicated because both the entries have same value for "Request ID". Did anyone face the same situation before.

According to the situation you described, I recommend you checking the things below: 

1. How did you save the form to SharePoint library? Using the Save or Submit button in the ribbon or using custom button in the form?
2. Did you enable Allow users to submit the form in InfoPath form? If yes, please provide the configuration of the Submit Options.

It will be very appreciated if you can provide detailed steps for configuring the InfoPath form and screenshots of the form for reproducing the issue.

1.  We are using Custom button to Submit the form.

2.  Yes, "Allow users to submit the form" is enabled in InfoPath form. Please find the configuration below.

The issue happens very rare. We couldn't able to reproduce the issue. Even the clients do not remember the things they did which bring this issue.

I cannot find anything wrong the rules set in the InfoPath form.

Please make sure that users do not save the form by using default Save button.
