Duplicate computer in SCCM with the same name. They are client, approved, active and not obsolete
Hi, We have some duplicate computer in SCCM with the same name (how you can see in the screen shot) . They are client, approved, active and not obsolete. Can someone help me to understand how that can be possible. Because that cause us some problems in our park for deployment. Thank you.

Check whether your both records have the same hardwareID, if computers were rebuilded and no hardware change then new record created and old record was changed to Obsolete = Yes. But if HardwareID changed then new record was created and old one still active. Use the following query to check all the duplicated records: select * from V_R_System s1 where s1.NetBios_Name0 in (select NetBios_Name0 from V_R_System s2 where s1.SMS_Unique_Identifier0 != s2.SMS_Unique_Identifier0) Compare the Hardware_ID0 attributes, if the values are different for duplicated records then you can take this thread as a reference of solution: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrgeneral/thread/24131e99-dec7-4bbd-97d1-4e4228b9f1a2#85ee94a8-5e33-4df8-8fd9-44c1bcc77d68 Thanks
